Today Sophie and I worked on trying to finish the painting on our rocket. Since yesterday we started the bottom where the sky filled with clouds is, we continued on the rest of the rocket. We tried to blend in the various shades of blue some more because it looked choppy instead of it being ombre with different shades of blue. Also, as Sophie worked more on the top part where we're going to have it look like space, I painted the clouds. We both forgot that acrylic paint doesn't really absorb other acrylic paints once it's dried so the clouds aren't completely solid looking, but turned out better than we originally planned. After the base of the space part of our rocket dried, we used a bottle of silver glitter glue to add in all the stars. We were mainly able to add in the larger of the stars and a good starting point for the designs in the space portion. Overall, we were able to get most of our painting done today and hopefully we can finish the rest tomorrow.
