For one portion of the section, we are able to work on making Virtual Reality Goggles. We're going to use the goggles to show virtual scenes that are relaxing to us. Sophie and I partnered up to make the goggles together. Today we were able to plan out what we want to do for this project. We both decided that we would like to make our VR Goggles sturdy enough to last longer than the couple weeks we're doing this project. Also, we decided that instead of just covering the outside of the goggles with the black duct tape, we want to use a more decorative duct tape. By doing this, our goggles will stand out more and we'll be able to tell which goggles are ours. Sophie and I also started discussing the two scenes we want to make, with each of us making one. Both of us are going to have to download one of the apps where we can create the virtual scene through pictures of videos. I decided that I want to capture my scene on the beach in Mexico, since I'm visiting there over spring break. Sophie is still deciding on hers, but is leaning towards doing a scene in a forest or going hiking.
Sophie and I are going to create the same VR Goggles that are in the video Andrew has on his dp. We're using a printed out template of the design. In order to hold our goggles together, we're going to use black duct tape. By using black, the inside will be completely dark so you can solely focus on the screen and will help block out your surroundings. Then after we fully build them, we're going to cover the outside in a more colorful duct tape so we can make ours more unique and for it to look better. Overall, we're excited for this project and have a clear vision about what we're going to do.
