In class today, we all worked on learning how to make motors for our mini rockets. Andrew went through a tutorial with the whole class to help us understand how to make them and how they work. When the five groups that were testing out making the motors, our class went outside and set the motors off like bottle rockets to test out if they worked. Several people's rockets ended up working really well, while others needed slight improvements. Sophie and I ended up not making any motors today because Andrew decided that we only needed five motor making machines. We were able to watch the making of Zoe and Monique's and also watched Andrew demonstrate. Hopefully on Tuesday when we get back to school Sophie and I can make one to test. We both decided we want to wait on testing the motor in our rocket to make sure that the motors we make actually work without setting our rocket on fire. It was really cool to see how well some people's motors turned out. One groups even disappeared for a couple seconds because they made their motor really well. It was also fun to learn a little about how the motors in rockets work. Overall, today was really fun and taught me a lot about rockets.
