Even though Sophie was absent from class today, I continued the finishing process for our rocket. During first period, I worked on attaching the parachute to the rocket body and nose cone. I did this by attaching a long string to the screw in the nose cone and then looping it into the rocket. By having it attached to both the rocket and nose cone, it will allow the nose cone and parachute to still stay attached to the rocket instead of flying off in the middle of it's descent. During third period, after we came back from math, I was able to finish painting the rocket. Since yesterday Sophie and I got most of the painting done, there wasn't much to do on it except for some small design things. I worked on adding more stars to our space portion of the rocket. Yesterday we mainly got the larger stars on so I went back through and added more smaller stars, along with adding a couple stars closer to where the clouds were to make the change between normal sky to space sky more cohesive. The rocket painting ended up turning out like we originally intended so both Sophie and I are extremely excited by this. Overall, it was nice to finally finish the paint job of our rocket and to get the parachute attached.
