During our Generosity Project, Alex and I were made partners. For this project we had control over what we wanted to do for the project. Since both Alex and I were interested in helping animals in need, that's what we revolved our project. We decided to volunteer at two rescue organizations called Ferdinand's Familia and the greyhound Adoption Center. Throughout the entire project we've been tracking our progress in our blog. HERE is the link to our blog.

FAMILY BIRTHDAYS
Birthdays are always something big for my family to come together and celebrate. Most times we celebrate every couple of weeks, but this past weekend we had two, my grandpa's 80th birthday and my cousin Sabine's 12th birthday. These gatherings gave me a great opportunity to photograph what both the Coleman and Arndt side of my family consider normal. |

NIGHT LIGHTS FOR BUDDIES
One project we worked on this year was designing and building night lights. We went over to the elementary school across the street and partnered up with one or two of the first graders there. Everyone then worked on a night light they thought their buddy or buddies would really enjoy. |

During our trip to the Ronald McDonald House, I took 14 photos of the inside, people baking, and what we baked. |

THE STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE
The light from the oven has an orange hue, making the picture seem warm and inviting. By having the cool colored scarf and floor, it contrasts against the warm oven lighting. Having the cookies in the picture add to a kind looking picture, along with making the scene look more inviting. By having the feet in the background, it gives a better illusion of depth. The overall look of this picture gives a story of warmth from baking. |
